Text about my work by William Lambeau

All-powerful, eccentric architect, he lays the foundations for a world where buildings collide only to entwine, where plants burst into feverish laughter, and where lost windows frame the horizon.
Through deliberate negligence he sets aside the rules of academic perspective, almost to the point of making us dizzy. The leap from the bed beyond the scale of the elements.
He is in constant dialogue with painting. He materializes his trivially metaphysical entanglements into multiple facetious chimeras.
He acts, and the paint receives, which in turn reveals itself to him. This primary relationship is always one of mutual intrigue.
These chimeras mock him, mock us, and he mocks, with an ever-endearing cynicism, the life he sees as one enormous escapade. Long live the meteorite! Long live the crowned cow!
We can sometimes perceive in him a Diogenes, an unexplained mentor but also a Diogenes as a pictorial syndrome. Bread, wine, good bread, good wine, please, away.
The canvas-artist space becomes a space for dialogue between painted objects and feigned thoughts, all chatter, all blather, it’s easy to handle and sometimes takes a backstabbing turn.
He must sometimes guess what these chimeras are telling him, even if it means occasionally imposing his will without being oblivious to the resentment that these avatars, in the throes of a crisis of autonomy, sometimes express toward him.
For he is attuned to the mysterious adventures that life offers him and to the mysterious adventures that painting reveals to him.
Like a myth where abstract or concrete experience, where life is cursed or enjoyed, seeks to be digested by a communing imagination.
In the end, it is an absurd theater that he paints, and it is in utter complicity that his painting and he conspire to kidnap the viewer through multiple details and a lush hubbub.
